Fire Alarm & Life Safety
Fire Alarm Systems Ohio — Design, Installation & Monitoring
Fire alarm has been Paladin's core business since 1990. We design it, pull the permit, install it, test it, monitor it and come back every year to inspect it — so one company is accountable from the first drawing to the annual test report.
What We Install and Service
- Addressable fire alarm systems, new construction and retrofit
- Notifier by Honeywell systems, plus Silent Knight, Fire-Lite and Mircom
- Voice evacuation and emergency communication systems

What You Get That You Usually Don't
In-house systems engineers and CAD designers produce the device layouts, riser diagrams, battery calculations and submittal packages. We handle the permit process with your AHJ. When the system is accepted, the as-builts and the programming stay with us — so the company that services it is the company that drew it.
A Failed Inspection Is Not an Emergency for Us
If a system was red-tagged, a panel is in trouble, or the building changed and the coverage no longer matches code, call. We service systems we didn't install, and we will tell you honestly whether to repair or replace it.
What Is a BDA System?
Modern construction is very good at blocking radio. Concrete, low-emissivity glass, metal decking and below-grade levels all attenuate the frequencies firefighters and police depend on — which means a crew can lose contact with command in the middle of your building.
Fire codes increasingly require an Emergency Responder Radio Coverage System (ERRCS), and a bi-directional amplifier is how that coverage gets delivered.
The part that surprises owners: radio coverage is tested at final inspection. A building that fails does not get its occupancy permit, and the fix is far more expensive after the walls close.
